New Identity images for Solent Creatives
Since I started working for Solent Creatives, I've had such a great roller coaster of projects and experiences and this is far my favourite on. Now that summer is almost over, me and my colleague Chris Key and one of our recent graduates Liam Charmer have been working on re-building Solent Creatives' identity and increasing the functionality of the website, so it is easier for both clients and students to use. I am very happy to show you some of the final images that will accompany this from the end of August.
The aim of this set is to create a funnier, fresher and more approachable identity for the student agency. As Solent University combines creativity and industry-driven experience, we wanted to make sure this comes across in their agency as well. The simplicity of this project is what really makes me excited and honestly, I couldn't be any happier with the results. This was shot on a white wall without additional equipment. After this, everything else was a few retouching moments and simply finding the right person to visualise and turn our idea into reality. The simplicity of this project is what made it so exciting for me. I didn't have to carry loads of heavy gear and when I can move quickly and work, this is when I enjoy myself the most. I can then focus on keeping the energy on the set and that my models are delivering what I need them to deliver.
These lovely graphics are done by the talented Dario Santos and as a future first-year student at the university, he showed an outstanding professionalism and communication at such a young age. This will definitely take him far in his career and I cannot stress enough how amazing his appetite for work is as well as his work ethic. His portfolio also won't fail to impress you as it is very interesting to see how he combines colours and shapes to build elements and construct his visuals.
At the end of the day, combining two different styles of visual expression transforms into something very unusual and appealing both to younger and older members of the public. I haven't done anything like this before, so adding this to my portfolio definitely feels like discovering a new form of art or a small chest of gold (in a way).
This is not the full set, just a few pieces from the overall look to give you an idea of the final look of this project. Throughout the year - there might be an expansion on this depending on the recruitment needs of the business. Until then, I will let you enjoy these three images.
